About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting. My name is Eileen Maria Galdamez Atehortua. I am 23 years old, born and raised from Boston, Massachusetts. I come from a Colombian family where exploring who I was on the inside was forbidden growing up. There was a form and way of being in the 70's our parents say. Flash forward to 2023, I understand there will never be true structure to being human or feeling emotions. It is messy, confusing, and painful even sometimes, and that brings me to what my goal is; to shine a spotlight on the uncomfortable & beauty of being human.

I like to spend my free time having rich conversation about all things existing and the unknown, allowing myself to get hurt to feel alive and grow, helping others with their hurt with my words. I like to dream so big that Im afraid I can not tell you my biggest goals. I promise to see them one day, though. I like to pick up as many hobbies possible that interest me, so far I enjoy most skate-boarding, roller-blading, dancing, painting, drawing, reading, walking (my favorite, that arguably I believe is a hobby). Most recently I am teaching myself the ukulele & would like to continue to learn more instruments as my father, sister, and brother are musicians and my muse.

Im most passionate about brain health, creative expression through the arts, philosophical thinking, and spirituality. With Eileensmind.com, I intend to share some daily thoughts, photography, and other various art styles in hopes to spark a light in your mind.
