HEALING

it takes meticulous work to heal

For me

I must observe the wound

Acknowledge it from all angles

Grief and regret on myself for permitting the

wound

I don't want to be hurt

But life would not be life with out

Hurting

So i focus on the wound

I digest it with every cell that creates it

I devour its taste and all of its scents

I get to know its beginning

So that I can build an end

Sometimes I try to rush

Sometimes I attempt to capture healing

Leaving the wound stitched up

Imperfectly

The mistake her is that the wound

Can open again

And stretch out thinner and longer than it was

before

So I go to the beginning again

I observe the wound

I focus on the wound

I take care of it

Slowly

Carefully

water it

Nurture it

I begin to love it

And that is what makes all the difference.
