It’s a shame, I thought

It’s a shame your eccentric glass bottle of glitter is hidden

tucking your seeds away from the world

Don’t you know we are all connected?

I am you you are me we are one

Holding different souls

While we hold the same energy

Like the trees we embrace or the grass we step on

The flowers we gift or the sun we breathe in

Iridescent glitter mass fills up the earth

I could hold on to your hand for a lifetime

Why suffocate your colors where it doesn’t belong

Don’t you see it’s meant to be shared?

How will we ever live in harmony

It’s a shame I thought I wasn’t good enough

It’s a shame we think we aren’t deserving

To see the distinctive dance of our minds

Is to understand one another more

to understand ourself

Understand our sphere

One minuscule spec of glitter dust at a time

I could hold onto your hand for a lifetime

Show me the colors that rush through your eyes so I can better see mine

So we can once and for all be the cartoons we saw in kindergarten

Around the earth
